Singer Capital Markets support IntoUniversity’s “Big City Bright Future” Internship Programme 2024

We were delighted to recently have welcomed two IntoUniversity students, who joined us as part of IntoUniversity’s ‘Big City Bright Future’ Internship Programme. The programme gives IntoUniversity students the opportunity to undertake a two-week paid internship with a number of IntoUniversity partner firms during the summer.

Our interns, Zahra and Maryam, were able to gain direct insight into working for an Investment Bank by garnering experience in the various business functions across the firm including Investment Banking, Trading, Sales, Research and Marketing.

Zahra and Maryam commented on their experience:

“My internship at Singer Capital Markets was transformative, solidifying my passion for market making and trading. The experience allowed me to immerse myself in the market side of finance, confirming my desire to pursue a career in this field. Attending the investor relations event, attending sales briefings, and interacting with the wonderful people at Singer’s made this an unforgettable experience.” Zahra Hussain

“Not only did I see the day-to-day lives of people in various sectors but I was able to gain direct advice and insights from professionals. Don’t be scared to reach out and ask questions, everyone here is lovely!” Maryam Ahmed

We thoroughly enjoyed working with the students and wish them well in their future career endeavours.

Our Partnership with IntoUniversity

As part of our Singer Social Impact initiative, Singer Capital Markets have partnered with IntoUniversity – a growing educational charity working to support children from disadvantaged backgrounds. The charity was created to address the issue of children and young adults from disadvantaged backgrounds, who are “nearly four times less likely to go to university than those in the most advantaged areas.” Over the last 15 years, the charity have helped over 100,000 children and young people access higher education, and intend to continue to do so by operating more centres and having more staff nationally.
